Introduction to Cloud Computing

The use of cloud in order to carry out the computation is known as ‘Cloud Computing’. It is an on-demand availability that allows storing the data or even apps in the remote servers. Later these apps or data can easily be processed on remote servers. Cloud computing is highly flexible as it can be used across the globe.

Overview of cloud service

Cloud service is basically a package of a wide range of resources that a service provider delivers to the consumers through the internet. The sole maxim of cloud computing is to supply the particular needs of an individual. A customized or packaged approach is provided to service the respective needs.

Types of Service Models

There are three main service models of cloud computing; SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.

SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SaaS)

· SaaS is an independent platform and an on-demand service that means whenever you need SaaS it is readily available.

· There is no need to install SaaS on PC user just have to login and can then have a access to it.

· SaaS is used by the end users and its resources are managed by vendors.

· PLATFORM AS A SERVICE (PaaS)

· PaaS is a third-party provider that delivers hardware & software tools and it also offers encapsulation.

· In PaaS user manages the data as well as the application resources.

· PaaS builds, compile and run programs and it is used by developers.

· INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE (IaaS)

· IaaS provides computing architecture & infrastructure.

· IaaS has various resources like data storage, virtualization, servers and networking, and these resources are managed by the vendors.

· In IaaS, users handle the data & middleware and it is used by system administrators.

Deployment Models

There are three types of deployment models; Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud.

PUBLIC CLOUD

· Public cloud is a service provider that makes resources such as applications and storage that are available to the general public over the internet.

· Public cloud has an easy and reasonably priced set-up as the costing of hardware, application and bandwidth are covered by the providers.

PRIVATE CLOUD

· It is a type of cloud that offers a group of services to limited people behind the firewall which results in minimizing the security concerns.

· Private data allow companies to have direct control over their respective data.

HYBRID CLOUD

· Hybrid cloud is a cloud computing environment that is a combination of public and private cloud services both.

· Hybrid cloud is a deployment model that allows you to have benefited from both the cloud services.
